Human rabies immunoglobulin is a plasma-derived product used to prevent rabies in individuals exposed to the rabies virus, usually through bites from infected animals. It provides passive immunity by supplying specific antibodies against the rabies virus.
The medication is administered via intramuscular injection, as directed by a doctor, and is used in combination with the rabies vaccine.
