Pinene + camphene + cineole + fenchone + borneol + anethole is a terpene combination used in some products for urinary tract spasm and discomfort associated with small urinary stones, according to medical indication. These aromatic components may have antispasmodic effects and support urinary flow. They do not guarantee stone dissolution and do not treat severe infections.
It is taken by mouth, usually as capsules or drops, according to the leaflet. Fluid intake may be helpful unless a doctor has restricted fluids. Treatment is suitable only for selected situations; severe renal colic, obstruction or infection needs medical assessment. Do not increase the dose in an attempt to speed up stone passage, as this may increase side effects.
Side effects may include aromatic taste or smell, nausea, heartburn, abdominal discomfort, diarrhoea, dizziness or allergic reactions. People with gastritis, reflux, liver disease, epilepsy, asthma or sensitivity to essential oils should seek medical advice. Some components may irritate the stomach or be unsuitable for young children.
Seek urgent medical help if severe flank pain, fever, chills, heavy blood in urine, persistent nausea, inability to urinate or poor general condition occurs. During pregnancy, breastfeeding and childhood, use only with medical advice. Prevention of stones often requires urine testing, proper hydration and dietary recommendations tailored to the stone type.
