Imidapril is an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor used for the treatment of hypertension. It works by relaxing blood vessels, thereby lowering blood pressure and improving heart function.
The medication is taken orally, usually once daily, as directed by a doctor. It is important to follow the recommended dose to keep blood pressure under control.
Side effects may include dizziness, dry cough, nausea, or fatigue. In rare cases, severe allergic reactions or angioedema may occur.
Imidapril is not recommended for patients with hypersensitivity to ACE inhibitors, a history of angioedema, or severe renal impairment.
