The combination of dimethicone and guaiazulene is used for the treatment of skin irritations and inflammations, including minor burns or dermatitis. Dimethicone forms a protective barrier on the skin, while guaiazulene has anti-inflammatory and soothing properties.
The medication is applied topically, as directed by a doctor, usually twice daily. It is important to avoid applying it to open wounds or infected skin.
Side effects may include local irritation, redness, or allergic reactions. In rare cases, severe hypersensitivity reactions may occur.
This combination is not recommended for patients with hypersensitivity to dimethicone, guaiazulene, or other components of the medication.
