A11DB benfotiamine + pyridoxine • Alimentary tract and metabolism | Vitamin B1, plain and in combination with vitamin B6 and B12 | Vitamin B1 in combination with vitamin B6 and/or vitamin B12

The combination of benfotiaminum and pyridoxinum is used for the treatment of peripheral neuropathies and other conditions associated with vitamin B complex deficiencies. Benfotiamine is a fat-soluble form of vitamin B1, and pyridoxine is vitamin B6, both contributing to the normal functioning of the nervous system.

The medication is taken orally, usually once or twice daily, as directed by a doctor. The dosage is adjusted based on the severity of symptoms and the patient's response.

Common side effects include nausea, abdominal discomfort, and mild allergic reactions. In rare cases, more severe adverse effects such as severe allergic reactions may occur.

This combination is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women unless the benefits outweigh the risks. Patients should inform their doctor about all medications they are taking to avoid drug interactions.
