Cefadroxil is a first-generation cephalosporin antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections such as respiratory tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and urinary tract infections. It works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to bacterial destruction.

The medication is taken orally, usually once or twice daily, depending on the severity of the infection and the doctor's recommendations. It is important for patients to complete the full prescribed course to prevent the development of bacterial resistance.
