About this active substance

Magnesium lactate + magnesium pidolate + pyridoxine combines magnesium salts with vitamin B6 and is used to supplement magnesium when intake is insufficient or deficiency is suspected. Magnesium is important for muscles, nerves, the heart and electrolyte balance, while pyridoxine supports metabolism and nervous system function.

It is taken by mouth according to the leaflet, usually with food for better digestive tolerance. Do not duplicate magnesium or vitamin B6 supplements without calculating total intake. Symptoms often attributed to magnesium deficiency, such as cramps, tiredness or irritability, may have many other causes and need assessment if they persist.

Side effects may include nausea, diarrhoea, abdominal pain, bloating or loose stools. In kidney disease, magnesium may accumulate and cause weakness, sleepiness, low blood pressure, rhythm disturbances or slow breathing. Excessive vitamin B6 taken for a long time can cause numbness and tingling due to nerve injury.

Ask for medical advice if you have kidney failure, heart disease, treatment with antibiotics, levothyroxine, bisphosphonates, diuretics or multiple supplements. Contact a doctor if severe diarrhoea, palpitations, confusion, marked weakness or new neurological symptoms occur. Supplementation should match real needs and should not be used indefinitely without review.
