About this active substance
Loncastuximab tesirine is an antibody-drug conjugate used for the treatment of relapsed or refractory diffuse large B-cell lymphoma. It works by delivering a cytotoxic agent to tumor cells expressing CD19.
The medication is administered intravenously, usually as part of a treatment cycle, under the supervision of an oncology specialist. Monitoring of liver and hematologic function is important during treatment.
Side effects may include fatigue, nausea, edema, or a decrease in blood cell counts. In rare cases, severe reactions such as cytokine release syndrome may occur.
Loncastuximab tesirine is not recommended for patients with hypersensitivity to this medication or those with severe liver impairment.
