About this active substance

Isoprenaline is a beta-adrenergic agonist used for the treatment of severe bradycardia, atrioventricular block, and occasionally for bronchial asthma. It works by stimulating beta-1 and beta-2 adrenergic receptors, increasing heart rate and relaxing bronchial muscles.

The medication is administered intravenously or as an aerosol, as directed by a doctor. It is important to monitor vital signs during administration.

Side effects may include tachycardia, palpitations, tremors, or headache. In rare cases, severe arrhythmias or myocardial ischemia may occur.

Isoprenaline is not recommended for patients with tachyarrhythmias, hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy, or hypersensitivity to this medication.
