About this active substance
Hexylresorcinol is a local anaesthetic with mild antiseptic activity, used in lozenges to relieve a painful sore throat. It temporarily numbs the painful area and has a mild local antiseptic effect. Treatment relieves symptoms but does not replace antibiotics when a doctor considers them necessary.
Allow the lozenge to dissolve slowly in the mouth without chewing or swallowing it whole. Follow the leaflet's dosing interval and maximum daily number.
