Felodipine is a calcium channel blocker medication used to treat high blood pressure and angina pectoris. It works by relaxing the muscles in the walls of blood vessels, leading to their dilation, reduced vascular resistance, and lower blood pressure.

It is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension and stable angina pectoris. Felodipine is available as extended-release tablets, taken orally, usually once daily, as directed by a doctor.

Side effects may include headache, dizziness, flushing (redness of the face), peripheral edema (swelling of the legs or ankles), fatigue, nausea, or palpitations. Rarely, allergic reactions or severe hypotension may occur.
