Betamethasone + Clotrimazole + Gentamicin is a combination medication used to treat inflammatory skin infections caused by bacteria and fungi. Betamethasone is a corticosteroid that reduces inflammation, redness, and itching, Clotrimazole is an antifungal that treats fungal infections, and Gentamicin is a broad-spectrum antibiotic that fights bacterial infections.

This combination is indicated for conditions such as infected dermatitis, infected eczema, tinea (fungal skin infections like athlete's foot or jock itch) complicated by bacterial superinfections, and other inflammatory skin conditions.

The medication is available as a cream or ointment and should be applied topically as directed by a doctor. Treatment is usually short-term to avoid side effects associated with prolonged corticosteroid use.

Side effects may include local irritation, burning sensation, dryness, allergic reactions, or, rarely, skin thinning (atrophy) with prolonged use. It is contraindicated in viral skin infections (such as herpes), cutaneous tuberculosis, and should not be applied to open wounds or ulcers.
