Buspironum is a medication used for the treatment of anxiety disorders, including generalized anxiety disorder. The medication is taken orally, usually two or three times a day, as directed by a doctor. Therapeutic effects may appear after a few days or weeks of treatment, and the dosage is adjusted based on the patient's response.

Common side effects include dizziness, nausea, headache, drowsiness, and dry mouth. In rare cases, more severe adverse effects such as confusion, tremors, or severe allergic reactions may occur.
