SEPTOLETE OMNI LAMAIE SI GHIMBIR 3mg / 1mg lozenges medication leaflet

R02AX03 benzidamine + cetylpyridinium chloride • Respiratory system | Throat preparations | Other throat preparations

The combination of benzydamine and cetylpyridinium chloride is used to treat inflammatory and infectious conditions of the mouth and throat. Benzydamine is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) with analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties, reducing local pain and inflammation. Cetylpyridinium chloride is a broad-spectrum antiseptic effective against bacteria, fungi, and viruses, helping to prevent and treat infections.

This combination is indicated for conditions such as pharyngitis, tonsillitis, stomatitis, gingivitis, mouth ulcers, or after dental procedures. It is available as a spray, mouthwash solution, or lozenges.

The medication is applied locally as directed by a doctor or the product leaflet. The spray is applied directly to the affected area, the solution is used for rinsing or gargling, and the lozenges are dissolved slowly in the mouth. It is typically used 2-3 times a day.

Side effects are rare but may include a burning sensation, numbness in the mouth, dryness of the oral mucosa, or allergic reactions. In very rare cases, hypersensitivity reactions may occur. It is important not to swallow the solution or spray unless specifically indicated in the product instructions.

This combination is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any of the components. Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding should be done with caution and only under medical advice.
