Amorolfine is an antifungal medication primarily used for the treatment of fungal nail infections (onychomycosis) and, in some cases, fungal skin infections. It works by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of the fungal cell membrane, leading to the destruction of fungi.

Amorolfine is available as a nail lacquer or cream, which is applied directly to the affected area. Treatment is long-term, usually lasting between 6 and 12 months for fingernails and up to 18 months for toenails, as the nail must grow out completely to eliminate the infection.
