Acetylsalicylic acid (aspirin) has analgesic, antipyretic, and anti-inflammatory properties, while ascorbic acid (vitamin C) supports the immune system.
This combination is usually available in the form of effervescent tablets, which are dissolved in water before administration. Ascorbic acid helps compensate for vitamin C losses in the body during viral infections.
Common side effects may include gastric irritation, nausea, or heartburn, and long-term or high-dose use may increase the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding. It is contraindicated in patients with active gastric ulcers, bleeding disorders, or salicylate allergies.
