Hydrocortisone butyrate is a corticosteroid used to treat inflammatory skin conditions such as dermatitis, eczema, or psoriasis. It reduces inflammation, itching, and redness by inhibiting the local immune response.
The medication is applied topically, usually 1-2 times daily, as directed by a doctor.
Side effects may include local irritation, skin dryness, or, in rare cases, skin thinning.
