Vitamins + minerals + lysine are nutritional combinations used to supplement the diet when intake is insufficient or during periods of increased need. Lysine is an essential amino acid involved in protein synthesis, growth and tissue repair. Vitamins and minerals support metabolism, immunity, muscles, bones and nervous-system function.
They are taken by mouth according to the leaflet or medical advice. The product may be useful during recovery, selective eating, reduced appetite or growth, but it should not replace meals. In children, the dose must match age, while in adults it should take into account other supplements and long-term medicines already being used.
Side effects may include nausea, bloating, constipation, diarrhoea, unpleasant taste or abdominal discomfort. Minerals can interact with antibiotics, levothyroxine, bisphosphonates and other treatments, reducing absorption. High doses of fat-soluble vitamins, iron, zinc, calcium or magnesium may cause imbalance or toxicity, especially when taken for a long time.
Ask a doctor before use if you have kidney disease, liver disease, metabolic disorders, pregnancy, breastfeeding or long-term treatments. Seek advice if persistent vomiting, abdominal pain, rash, unusual weakness or severe constipation occurs. The supplement can support nutrient intake, but tiredness, poor appetite or weight loss should be medically evaluated.
