Bleeding risk
This medicine may increase the risk of bleeding.
Heparin + dexpanthenol + allantoin is a topical combination used for bruises, haematomas, swelling after minor trauma, superficial vein inflammation or support of skin repair. Heparin helps local resorption of small clots, dexpanthenol supports skin regeneration, and allantoin has a soothing effect. It is intended for local symptoms, not for deep or serious vascular problems.
The product is applied in a thin layer to intact skin, according to the leaflet or medical advice. It should not be used on open wounds, mucous membranes, infected skin, ulcers, bleeding areas or under occlusive dressings unless advised. Wash hands after application and avoid contact with the eyes. Duration depends on the cause of the lesion and clinical progress.
Side effects are usually local: redness, itching, burning, irritation, dryness or rash. People allergic to heparin, preservatives, fragrances or other ingredients should be cautious. If you take anticoagulants, have bleeding disorders, low platelets or unexplained bruising, ask for medical advice before use. Do not apply over large areas without guidance.
Consult a doctor if the bruise enlarges, the area becomes very painful, hot or red, or if sudden limb swelling, shortness of breath, chest pain, fever or discharge occurs. During pregnancy, breastfeeding and childhood, use should be discussed with a doctor or pharmacist. Topical treatment can help symptoms but does not replace assessment of serious injuries.
