This medicine may cause dizziness or vertigo.
May lower blood pressure and increase the risk of falls.
Older people may have an increased risk of side effects.
The combination of latanoprost and timolol is used for the treatment of open-angle glaucoma and ocular hypertension in patients who do not respond adequately to monotherapy. Latanoprost increases the outflow of aqueous humor, while timolol reduces its production.
The medication is administered as eye drops, usually once daily in the evening. It is important to follow the doctor's instructions to ensure treatment efficacy.
Side effects may include eye irritation, redness, changes in iris color, or dry eyes. In rare cases, allergic reactions, bradycardia, or macular edema may occur.
This combination is not recommended for patients with bronchial asthma, severe heart failure, or hypersensitivity to any of the components.
