The combination of lidocaine, levomenthol, and phenol is used for relieving pain and discomfort associated with conditions of the oral or throat mucosa. Lidocaine acts as a local anesthetic, levomenthol provides a cooling sensation, and phenol has antiseptic properties.
The medication is applied topically, usually in the form of a spray or solution, as directed by a doctor. It is important not to exceed the recommended dose and to avoid excessive swallowing.
Side effects may include local irritation, a burning sensation, or allergic reactions. In rare cases, systemic reactions to lidocaine, such as dizziness or seizures, may occur.
This combination is not recommended for patients with hypersensitivity to lidocaine, levomenthol, phenol, or other components of the product.
