Calcium chloride is a medication used for the treatment of acute hypocalcemia, hyperkalemia, hypermagnesemia, and calcium channel blocker overdose. It provides calcium, an essential mineral for the normal functioning of the nervous, muscular, and cardiovascular systems, as well as for blood coagulation and bone health.
The medication is administered intravenously, usually as a slow injection or infusion, as directed by a doctor. The dosage is adjusted based on the severity of the condition and the patient's response to treatment.
