Do not take with milk, calcium, iron, magnesium, or antacids if separation is recommended.
Calcium gluconate + calcium carbonate + ascorbic acid combines two calcium sources with vitamin C. It is used to supplement calcium and vitamin C when dietary intake is insufficient or when needs are increased, as advised by a doctor or pharmacist. Calcium supports bones and muscles, while vitamin C contributes to collagen formation and normal immune function.
It is taken by mouth, either dissolved or swallowed according to the dosage form, preferably after food if stomach discomfort occurs. Do not exceed the daily dose, especially if you also use other products containing calcium, vitamin D or vitamin C. Some medicines, such as levothyroxine, iron, tetracyclines, quinolones and bisphosphonates, should be taken at a separate time.
Side effects may include bloating, constipation, nausea, heartburn or diarrhoea. High doses can increase the risk of high calcium levels, kidney stones or oxalate deposits, especially in people with kidney disease or a tendency to form stones. Warning signs include intense thirst, frequent urination, weakness, confusion, back pain, blood in urine or persistent nausea.
Ask a doctor before use if you have kidney disease, kidney stones, high calcium levels, haemochromatosis, sarcoidosis or treatment with thiazide diuretics or cardiac glycosides. This product does not replace a varied diet. In children, pregnancy, older adults or people on long-term medication, the dose should be chosen carefully according to real need.
