Precautions:
Dizziness / vertigo
This medicine may cause dizziness or vertigo.
Glaucoma warning
Use caution if you have glaucoma or increased eye pressure.
Anticholinergic effects
May cause dry mouth, constipation, urinary retention, or blurred vision.
Hepatotoxicity
This medicine may affect the liver.
Major drug interactions
This medicine may have important interactions with other medicines.
Cardiac risk / QT prolongation / arrhythmias
This medicine may increase the risk of heart rhythm disturbances.
Drowsiness / sedation
This medicine may cause drowsiness or reduced alertness.
Paracetamol + dextromethorphan + chlorpheniramine + pseudoephedrine is a combination for multiple cold or flu symptoms: fever, aches, dry cough, runny nose, sneezing and nasal congestion. Paracetamol reduces pain and fever, dextromethorphan suppresses cough, chlorpheniramine reduces allergic-type symptoms, and pseudoephedrine helps open blocked nasal passages.
It is taken by mouth according to the leaflet and only for short-term use. Do not combine it with other cold, flu or pain products containing paracetamol, dextromethorphan, antihistamines or decongestants. Paracetamol overdose can be serious, and pseudoephedrine can increase blood pressure or pulse. Read labels of all medicines used at the same time.
Side effects may include sleepiness, dizziness, dry mouth, constipation, nausea, palpitations, restlessness, insomnia, increased blood pressure or urinary retention. Avoid alcohol and do not drive if drowsy. It is generally unsuitable in severe high blood pressure, significant heart disease, glaucoma, treatment with MAO inhibitors or uncontrolled hyperthyroidism.
Seek medical help if chest pain, irregular heartbeat, breathing difficulty, confusion, severe sleepiness, seizures, jaundice, widespread rash or persistent fever occurs. Children, pregnant or breastfeeding women, older adults and patients with liver or kidney disease should use this product only with medical advice.
