Bicalutamide is an antiandrogen medication primarily used for the treatment of advanced prostate cancer. Bicalutamide is taken orally, usually once daily, and is well-tolerated by most patients. Common side effects include hot flashes, breast tenderness or enlargement (gynecomastia), fatigue, and nausea. In rare cases, it may affect liver function, so regular liver monitoring is recommended.
