The combination of irbesartan and amlodipine is used to treat high blood pressure in patients who do not respond adequately to monotherapy. Irbesartan is an angiotensin II receptor antagonist that helps relax blood vessels, while amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker that lowers blood pressure by relaxing the muscles of blood vessels.

The medication is taken orally, usually once daily, as directed by a doctor.

Side effects may include dizziness, edema, fatigue, or nausea. In rare cases, severe allergic reactions or kidney dysfunction may occur.
