Diclofenac + heparin is a combination medication primarily used to treat pain and inflammation associated with musculoskeletal conditions, as well as to improve local circulation and reduce the risk of blood clot formation. Diclofenac is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that reduces pain and inflammation, while heparin is an anticoagulant that prevents blood clotting and enhances blood flow.
This combination is indicated for conditions such as sprains, contusions, tendinitis, bursitis, or other traumatic soft tissue injuries accompanied by inflammation and swelling.
The medication is available in the form of gels or creams for topical application. It is applied to the skin over the affected area as directed by a doctor or the product leaflet.
Side effects may include local irritation, redness, itching, or, rarely, allergic reactions. It is contraindicated in cases of allergy to diclofenac, heparin, or other NSAIDs, as well as in patients with bleeding disorders or open skin wounds.
