Bemiparinum is an anticoagulant medication used for the prevention and treatment of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism. It is a low molecular weight heparin that inhibits coagulation factors Xa and IIa, preventing blood clot formation.

The medication is administered via subcutaneous injection, usually once daily, as directed by a doctor. The dosage is adjusted based on the patient's weight and the purpose of treatment (prophylaxis or therapy).

Common side effects include bleeding, bruising at the injection site, and elevated liver enzyme levels. In rare cases, more severe adverse effects such as heparin-induced thrombocytopenia or severe bleeding may occur.

Bemiparinum is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women unless the benefits outweigh the risks. Patients should inform their doctor about all medications they are taking to avoid drug interactions.
