Lornoxicam is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used to treat acute and chronic pain, as well as inflammation associated with conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, or other musculoskeletal disorders. It is also used for the relief of postoperative or post-traumatic pain.

Lornoxicam works by inhibiting cyclooxygenase enzymes (COX-1 and COX-2), reducing the production of prostaglandins, substances involved in inflammation, pain, and fever. It is available in tablet or injectable solution form.

Side effects may include nausea, stomach pain, diarrhea, dizziness, heartburn, or, in rare cases, gastric ulcers, gastrointestinal bleeding, or allergic reactions. Long-term use or high doses may increase the risk of cardiovascular events and kidney damage.
