Substance: potassium iodide + sodium iodide (minerals)

The combination of potassium iodide and sodium iodide is used for the prevention and treatment of iodine deficiency, particularly in situations of radiation exposure. It helps protect the thyroid gland by blocking the uptake of radioactive iodine.

The medication is taken orally, usually in the form of a solution or tablets, as directed by a doctor. It is important to follow the recommended dose to avoid side effects.
