Vinblastine is a chemotherapy medication used for the treatment of various types of cancer, including Hodgkin's lymphoma, non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, testicular cancer, and breast cancer. It belongs to the vinca alkaloid class and works by inhibiting tubulin polymerization, leading to the arrest of cell division and tumor cell death.

Vinblastine is administered intravenously, usually once a week, and the dosage is adjusted based on body weight and patient response. Treatment is conducted under the supervision of an oncologist, and patients are monitored for signs of toxicity.

Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, hair loss, fatigue, and myelosuppression (reduction in blood cell counts). In rare cases, severe adverse reactions such as peripheral neuropathy or liver function impairment may occur.
