Vasopressin, also known as argipressin, is an antidiuretic hormone used in medicine for the treatment of conditions such as septic shock, gastrointestinal bleeding, and central diabetes insipidus. It acts by stimulating V1 and V2 receptors, leading to vasoconstriction and increased water reabsorption in the kidneys.
