Methylprednisolone is a corticosteroid used to treat a wide range of inflammatory and autoimmune conditions. It is indicated for diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, severe asthma, inflammatory bowel diseases (such as Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis), severe allergies, dermatitis, multiple sclerosis, and certain types of cancer. It is also used to prevent organ rejection after transplantation.

Methylprednisolone works by suppressing the body's inflammatory and immune response, reducing inflammation, swelling, redness, and pain. It is available in the form of tablets, injectable solutions, or creams, and the method of administration depends on the condition being treated.
