Abacavir is a medication used to treat HIV/AIDS.

Abacavir is a nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor that inhibits viral replication.

Once CBV-TP is integrated into the viral DNA, transcription and HIV reverse transcriptase is inhibited.
